The Holiday season is fast approaching and it’s time to kick off my Holiday gift guides! In previous years, I only posted one gift guide – options for Mom, Dad, for her and him, and other random gifts. This year, I really want to expand my gift guides and create more than just one!
During this crazy time of COVID, small businesses are being affected now more than ever. It is so important this Holiday season (if you can), to shop small business and black-owned businesses around your area or online. I don’t have a small business of my own (at least for right now 😉), but I am sure every single purchase means the world to a small business owner. So without further ado, below you will find a list of some awesome small businesses and black-owned businesses to shop from this Holiday Season!
Small-owned Businesses
Little Words Project
I love Little Words Project and the message behind the brand. Founded by Adriana Carrig (Botti) back in 2013 with an idea to empower and bring women together. I always love looking down at my wrist and seeing motivating and empowering words. It’s such a cute and thoughtful gift to give someone to help brighten their day.
“Little Words Project is a community of Nice Girls that believes in some simple truths:
1. Supporting women is always the way to go
2. Collaboration always wins over competition
3. Kindness builds confidence and fosters self-love”
Shop Ludovica
This cute little boutique is located in Westwood NJ. So if you are in that area, I definitely recommend popping in the store to check them out. BUT! If you aren’t in the area, you can easily browse their IG page and DM them if you want to place any orders. All the girls that work there are so sweet!
Shop Summer Buns
Summer Buns was founded by my IG friend Allysa or @fashionablysurfed on IG. It’s the cutest shop for accessories and hair accessories. My personal faves are the custom designer scrunchies she makes. These are such a cute accessory to elevate any outfit. A great gift to give those girly girls!
Sixty Stax
If you are looking to affordable, dainty jewelry then Sixty Stax is the store to shop from. They have so many great pieces that I wear everyday. Sixty Stax jewelry is perfect to gift to someone without breaking your bank. Psst.. the packaging is SO CUTE! Def recommend checking them out.
By Anisa Sojka
This is a new brand that recently launched last week! Anisa sells the most gorgeous hair accessories and jewelry. Definitely a great shop to by for those girly girls!
Black-owned Businesses
Briogeo
Briogeo is a clean and natural hair care brand! Their Black Friday deals start now with the CODE: holiday. I definitely recommend checking out their deep conditioning hair mask – a best seller!
Golde
Golde is AMAZING! A fairly new company that is on a mission to make wellness easy and accessible for everyone! My favorite has to be their matcha. Read more about Golde HERE
Yam NYC
Yam NYC is the cutest jewelry shop of made-to-order, up-cycled items. Not only are the pieces cute, you are shopping sustainably which is better for the environment! I definitely recommend checking this shop out.
Riot Swim
Riot Swim.. you literally cannot find pieces like this anywhere else. The designs are minimalistic and luxe. The cuts of each suit are so flattering and I wouldn’t mind receiving a gift card to this shop for the holidays!
Elia Vintage
Another great brand to shop sustainably from and wow, does she has an eye for chic vintage pieces. For anyone that is shopping-conscious or is a huge vintage lover – this is the place to shop.
