My Current Favs:

Our Trip to Tulum

HI FRIENDS! Long time no talk! I hope everyone is doing well!

This seems to be a re occurring theme on my blog… I’m consistent for a few months, and then, it’s like my blog doesn’t exist lol. Not funny, but unfortunately true. BUT, I have genuinely missed blogging and writing! I have wanted to go back to my roots when I first started this journey a few years ago, so be aware, I will be blasting you guys with a bunch of blog posts this week! They are posts that I have wanted to go live throughout the past few months, but never got around to writing. Starting with….

Our Trip to Tulum

Jack and I took our first “couples trip” together back in June to Tulum and it really was one of the best trips…besides the fact that it rained up until the day we were leaving to go home LOL!

PRO TIP: Be aware of Tulum’s rainy season/hurricane season. Rainy season: June – October

But that didn’t stop us from making the most of the trip and having an absolute blast. I vlogged the trip and you can watch everything over on my YouTube channel:

Where we stayed, where we at eat, what we did:

Where we stayed: Liana Tulum

We stayed in 2 different locations while in Tulum (we were there for 8 days). For the first 3 days we stayed in at this beautiful Airbnb that was more in town rather than on the beach. The airbnb is called Liana Tulum and it was BEAUTIFUL! The aesthetic was *chefs kiss*. And great for content. If you’re not someone that likes to take content, then I wouldn’t recommend staying here for your entire trip as it’s pretty far from all the places you will go to eat, drink, and go to the beach.

The area on the other hand was not my personal favorite due to a little bit of a scary experience. Like any place, there are always “bad” areas. Be aware of your surroundings and do what I didn’t do, and research the “stay away areas” when visiting somewhere new. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, a beautiful airbnb.

Pros

  • Beautiful and private villa
  • Great for content creation
  • Decent price for the place you get

Cons

  • Location

Papaya Playa Project

For the last 4 days of the trip we stayed at this beautiful resort on the beach called Papaya Playa Project. This was by far my favorite place in Tulum. The vibes were immaculate, our room had a private pool, the bar was great, and it was in a pretty good location as well. If we ever go back to Tulum, this is definitely a place I would rebook.

Pros

  • Great location
  • Amazing rooms/room service
  • The grounds of the property are beautiful
  • Great vibe
  • Private beach beds for hotel stayers

Cons

  • The seaweed

Places we ate & drank:

Azulik

Gitano

Mateos Mexican Grill

The Pablo Escobar Mansion – Case Malca

Matcha Mama

Burrito Amor

Mezzanine

Posada Margherita

Overall, it was such an amazing trip (even though it rained)! Jack and I definitely made the most of the rain and had so much fun together. Not to mention it definitely jump-kicked our travel bug! If you have any questions about my trip, make sure to leave me a comment or DM over on Instagram!
