My Christmas OOTD

December 25th, 2018:

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! I hope everyone is still in their food comas from eating too much holiday dessert! I know I am… My family and I normally have Christmas at our house and it is SO MUCH FUN! The whole family gets together, catches up, eats some great food and drinks nice wine. I love the holidays because you get to reflect on the year you’ve had and appreciate all the great things in your life, especially family and friends.

I can happily say this is the first Christmas in a while where I wasn’t running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get ready! I had my outfit already planned out, so all I had to do was my hair and makeup.

The Outfit:

I wanted my outfit to be a little bit fancier this year, so I picked out this adorable silky, hunter green wrap dress from Missy Empire. The ruffles were such a cute touch, but not over powering. Sometimes with wrap dresses I find it annoying when it’s not completely secure. If you don’t tie it right, with one gust of wind, the wrap comes undone. With this dress, the wrap was sewn into the fabric, so it gave the illusion of being wrapped, but the dress stayed secure if the tie came undone.

To pair with this dress, I didn’t want just any regular black tights. I wanted them to be sheer and have some sort of pattern to bring something different to the outfit. Because the tights were so busy and I didn’t want to take too much attention away from the dress, so I paired the look with simple black suede heels. For jewelry, I kept it simple as well and paired my gold chain necklace with a chunky gold ring (and my silver bracelets I wear everyday and never take off) ((like I’ve said in other posts, mixing metals doesn’t really bother me)).

I had so much fun this Christmas, ate great food, exchanged fun gifts, and I’m already counting down the days til next year! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday as well! Now, lets get ready for NYE!!
