Am I the only one that had total FOMO this year seeing all the Coachella performances, peoples outfits, Revolve festival, etc posted on social media? Probably not! I am not one to get really bad FOMO, but LET ME TELL YA!! I had such bad FOMO seeing all of my favorite bloggers post FIREEE outfits and have the time of their lives dancing and singing along to artist like Khalid, Bazzi, and the queen herself – Miss Ariana Grande. It’s safe to say I have already started saving my money to go to Coachella next year – I need to. SO! I am writing it here, right now, I am putting it out to the universe – I WILL ATTEND COACHELLA 2020! Hopefully, by that time I can collaborate with some awesome brands, but if not, THAT IS OKAY! I will still attend and have the best time ever.
Now, let’s talk outfits. This year you saw a variety of outfits ranging from basic to going all out! But they all stuck to the trends of Coachella: matchy matchy, crochet/mesh, some sort of sparkle, cargo/utility, and western vibes (MY ABSOLUTE FAV OF ALL OF COACHELLA).
Matchy Matchy
This was a fun trend and I absolutely loved how all four of these fashion bloggers brought their own twists to these looks. My favorite look out of these four has to be Sophie Suchan’s Dior look. I mean…that pink Dior head scarf matching with the pink Dior bathing suit (bodysuit?) is to die for. And then adding a sheer slip dress over it took the look to a whole other level. Emma Leger killed it as well with the sheer jacket and skirt. All such fun looks.
Crochet/Mesh
Crochet and mesh are always big Coachella go-to’s. We see it a lot, but it was very on trend for this year’s Coachella. Revolve came out with so many crochet outfits – all different from each other and none the less adorable. I have two favs from this bunch and it’s Nitsan Raiter’s Revolve baby blue matching set and Cara Jourdan’s rainbow Revolve crochet set. We saw a lot of girls wearing the rainbow set, like Emma Leger, taking her own twist on the look and only wearing the bottoms.
Sparkles
Like I always say, there is nothing wrong with a little sparkle and boy did these girls bring A LOT OF SPARKLE! I’m here for it. I love how you can be as dramatic (in the best way possible) as Julia Haven’s jacket or as modest as Viviane Audi’s tube top – it will still be perfect for Coachella. My favorite look is Sophie Suchan’s outfit. I’m a sucker for a good sparkle belt and she’s wearing TWO – so I’m obsessed! I also love how it incorporates the matchy matchy trend with the sparkle top and draped skirt. It’s overall such a fun outfit!
Cargo/Utility
Cargo and utility pants are a HUGE trend for spring and summer. I talk all about it in my 2019 Spring Trends post. It was all over the runway and now everyone is bringing it to their Coachella looks. First of all, it just looks comfy! You don’t feel constricted like skinny jeans or skimpy shorts and you can really put any twist you want on the look that fits your personal style. I love all of these looks from these girls, but if I had to choose one I would probably pick Julia Haven’s all pink outfit with the pink Fendi bag. She absolutely killed this look and this is my favorite outfit that she wore Coachella weekend.
Western Vibes
LAST BUT MOST CERTAINLY NOT LEAST – WESTERN VIBES! I love it, I love it, I love it. I am so in love with the western trend for not only everyday wear, but it had a hugeee presence at Coachella. All of these girls absolutely killed the western vibe and it’s the perfect look to shoot in the middle of the Palm Springs dessert. From chaps, to cowboy boots, to the animal prints, to cowboy hats, there was no way you could not look cute with this trends. My favorite western look of the weekend is HANDS DOWN – Emma Leger. I saw her instagram’s and my. jaw. dropped. From the cow print bikini, to the bandana around her neck, AND THE CHAPS! I was floored. This was the look that gave me MAJOR FOMO. Emma Leger just absolutely killed it this Coachella – slow clap for Emma Leger everybody.
Well, I hope everyone loved seeing Coachella looks just as much as I did and had MAJOR FOMO just as much as I did! It’s the perfect place to go wild with your style, take amazing photos, catch up with friends, and listen to awesome music (I’m assuming….. wouldn’t know…. #FOMO). Fingers crossed I will be attending Coachella 2020!!!
